Warrior Transition Brigade/Walter Reed Medical Center
April 2010
The Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) is an integrated healthcare delivery system offering
military personnel and their families in the Washington D.C. area, access to comprehensive medical care.
Soldiers brought to Walter Reed benefit from world class medical attention but still face a long and often difficult
recovery. To mitigate this soldiers are assigned to Warrior Transition Brigade (WTB), an
organization dedicated to assist these wounded warriors. Amongst other things the WTB supports an
after-care program set up by the Congress and the US Army to provide the necessary services to help each
wounded soldier return to active-service or civilian life, dependent up on their injuries.
The Ventura Group is proud to support the Warrior Transition Brigade and fifteen
Ventura employees serve as administrative assistants assigned to the four WTB platoons,
each working under a military supervisor. The daily functions and responsibilities of these Ventura
staffers vary according to the needs of the soldiers they serve, but could include preparing daily and
weekly schedules for wounded soldiers, accompanying a solider to offsite events, and assisting with the preparation of
letters and other correspondence specific to a soldiers case management. Negotiating the hurdles of any injury can be
challenging but the often traumatic injuries suffered by these noble soldiers in the defense of our freedom make it doubly hard.
The Ventura Group’s service in support of this, one of the most important obligations of any society - bringing its warriors home
sound in mind and body, is part of our larger corporate effort to contribute to the good work of our nation.
