IPv6 Transition Engineer SME Job Type: Information Technology Education: 4 Year Degree Experience: 5 to 10 years Travel: Up to 25% Description The Ventura Group is looking for mid and senior level Network/Systems/Application Engineers with IPv6 transitional and/or operational experience. The candidate must have previous Telecom and/or IT industry experience. Responsibilities will include: Working with other team members to support federal IPv6 transition activities. Developing plans for federal agencies to transition to IPv6. Developing, analyzing and implementing technical approaches for IPv6 transition. Providing technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems transition to IPv6. Performing system-level IPv6 design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications. Planning large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Conducting quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products. Input to policy level discussions regarding IPv6, standards and budget constraints.
